![]() ? You obviously have a mad on for Traxxas and would hate on the E REVO whether it was great or not. asked E REVO or Slash ? and spout off this B.S. Why would you come into a thread were the O.P. I dont think you can go wrong with either, but if youre planning on a lot of off road driving, the Maxx is better suited for it. The Maxx is built like a tank and much more substantial than a Slash. Its got a much beefier motor and ESC and handles 3S and 4S with no problem. The slash vxl is 2wd instead of being 4x4, 4x4 vxl is the 2wd with a different chassis and is 4wd, and the 4x4 ultimate is the 4x4 vxl except with loads of upgrades, and its definitely worth it for the price (comes with I think 400 in upgrades over the standard vxl slash). However a tenth scale cheapie will handle the rough stuff better than the revo, because the minis are limited by size, so relatively speaking, the mini revo can't handle the rough very well either. With the wide arms it handles really nicely. So their products tend to be relatively more expensive than Traxxas RC. There is no comparison between the two, side by side, the ofna tears up the traxxas in every area except backflips, and costs about the same amount once built.Īlso like the vendettas, not monsters, and have to be upgraded, but so far the only thing the revo is better for is bacflips, and real rough terrain. Arrma: Although Arrma offers RC cars for beginners, their RC cars are mostly targeted at experienced hobbyists. The little bit of weight gives it more bite and helps stabilize it's demeanor. The rear-wheel drive Slash is purpose built to fly over jumps and rip full-throttle through the turns. Bring home the thrill of 900+ horsepower full-scale racing and head-to-head competition to your own backyard. The spur gear features rugged 0.8 module/32-pitch teeth for total reliability no matter how much power you pour on. ![]() The Slash 4X4 driveline is built to handle power for today and accommodate future power upgrades down the road. ![]() It's a hair lower, and a bit heavier, both good qualities in a mini, the small difference in height makes a huge difference in driveability with higher volt set ups. The Traxxas Slash short-course race truck puts you in the driver's seat for intense fender-to-fender, high-flying off-road action. Extreme brushless horsepower is never an afterthought at Traxxas. No they are the same truck under the body Id buy a used slash 4x4 platinum or just buy a Traxxas rally 4x4 vxl it’s the same as a platinum only thing you need to change to make it a slash it body post front/rear bumper rally has the lcg chassis also I’d get one off offerup or Facebook market place if you buy. It is top quality for racing, and a superior rc to the traxxas mini. It lays down power evenly, and shoots forward(not in flips and gryo rolls). I prefer the ofna hyper ste, full size electronics(you get to choose), wider stance, about the same wheelbase, and no lurching, bacflips etc. ![]()
